Over there, on an island

Vodem: slow. Still, it's the internets, on an island (and not just the South one). This one in fact:

(Look at the 'A' in Arapawa, follow the crossbar of the A directly to the left a tinydistance until you hit the coast, and we're about there.) First ever blog post to the net from this island? I feel it is reasonably likely.

Anyway, have a fabulous Christmas one and all. May your times be good, family be joyous and pressies plentiful and wished-for. That said, hopefully you're looking forward to receiving a DVD, because chances are you're getting one. (The Warehouse apparently alone sold 750,000 of the things in December.) Remember to smile and say thank you, unless the DVD is Druids. In this one case it is acceptable to clobber the gift giver with whatever comes to hand, possibly the turkey. The ham is also good substitute, and, if you use either of the Christmas meats as a weapon, chances are you will not be subsequently forced to eat the leftovers for the next two weeks.

See you all soon for festive season partying and catch-uppery.

Island out.
