Monty Python's Contractual Obligation Album

I got nothing. Sorry. Blame WINZ for mucking up my blogging biorhythm altogether. I really can't make a decent tilt at it in the remaining 'before going to bed' time tonight, so like most of the posts during the week, this is really meaningless Internet filling waffle. Sorry again. I guess the experiment has shown you should only blog if it's worth the reader's effort. But oh well.

But you may wish to know we came second in the quiz tonight by half a point, (out of just over 100 total possible points, we lost 89 and a 1/2 to 90) despite a good all round performance from the team, Fi's recognition of celebrity eyes being most important. A slightly irritating near miss, but I did win myself two Orientation 2004 t-shirts by being the only person in the room to A) recognise the first sentence of Farenheit 451, and B) know that it brings great dishonour to Wookies to fight with their claws. It was only after shooting my hand into the air and going 'Ooh! ooh!' half way through the Wookiee question and then confidently delivering the answer that I realised it might have been better to take a deep breath, count to 5, put my hand up in a hesitant fashion and queryingly ask: "Er, do they have claws, or something? My, er...friend...is an enormous geek you see, and I think he may have mentioned something about it the other day when we were playing rugby - yes, that's right, rugby...with, er, hot bikini models, who we hang out with all the time". But no, my tactics were wrong, and as clear nerd and winner of both t-shirts for the evening, I was on the end of some looking and muttering. It was like being back at high school for about 5 seconds really...but I have two new t-shirts and they all don't, so nyah. Sadly I brought great shame upon my name by getting one question of the 10 in the Star Wars section wrong. I have failed my race.

Anyway, hopefully it snows all night long and WINZ is buried. We can only hope really. Must go and rescue Karen from the super fun that is Ecco the Dolphin (cheers Dan). A decent blog to be written at a proper time later.

Update: fixed that link, if you are a big enough nerd to care.
