Two posts in a day, holy unlikely occurrence Batman!
Because the previous post was very diary-like and not much practical use to anyone, and I am now here at uni with an actual internet connection, here is some stuff I have been reading in the last week or so coming straight out of Iraq. Nate Thyer is blogging live from Baghdad for Slate, but perhaps more interesting is this the blog of this bloke Salam Pax, entitled Where is Raed? This guy has a reasonable amount of credibility as his blog has been in existence for some time, and their are quite a few people prepared to vouch for his authenticity, including the Online Journalism Review. He certainly writes like he is actually in Baghdad right now anyway. It certainly seems more authentic than this guy, who is apparently blogging from the war as a "United States military reserve officer", and apparently getting stupid numbers of hits in the States - but then I suppose an invading force doesn't get to stop and blog detailed information very often. All worth a look anyway.
Also, biggest unsupressed snort of laughter in the last week causing the entire computer room to look at me funny was caused by Mark "Please enjoy this picture of a cat licking itself" Mackintosh. Nice one Heq.
That is all.
